Disinformation is often assesed from single viewpoints, overlooking other aspects of the problem. Those aspects taken into account are valuable and contribute to society’s understanding of disinformation, however it is in integrating these viewpoints that the complexity of disinformation can be assessed. That is why in it’s newest policy brief, CeMAS is presenting an integrative model for dealing with disinformation, combining the perspectives of information, security, technology, social science and democracy, in order to assess and mitigate the problem that is disinformation in its complexity.
The model aims to broaden the view when dealing with disinformation. It can be used for the assessment of single narratives, as well as for the development of a combined countermeasure approach.
