Über Gregor Bauer

Gregor Bauer is co-CEO at CeMAS, jointly with Miro Dittrich, and further acts as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In these roles, he is especially responsible for organizational development, finances, project acquisition, and internal administration. Between 2021 and 2024, he worked at the Berlin-based think tank polisphere, most recently heading the research department where he focused on issues around antisemitism and disinformation. Before this, he was a political analyst and editorial journalist with a focus on the post-Soviet sphere. Having studied literature and linguistics at the University of Oxford, he engaged in research and teaching at several universities on themes surrounding rhetorics and the perception of linguistic devices in literature and broader culture. In the business sphere, he concentrates on strategic management. He has founded as well as managed a hospitality company and has headed several publications as editor-in-chief. This includes establishing the German–speaking editorial office of Novastan, a magazine on Central Asia, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
