About Josef Holnburger

Josef Holnburger has been Managing Director at CeMAS since 2021 and works as a Political Data Scientist at the intersection of political and computer science. He focuses on the systematic collection and analysis of data on numerous digital platforms using the latest computer-based methods. For years, he has been researching the spread of conspiracy narratives, disinformation, antisemitism and right-wing extremism, with a particular focus on their dynamics in online communication. As Managing Director of CeMAS, he is responsible for the development of innovative digital monitoring methods and promotes interdisciplinary exchange between science, politics and civil society.
