Team

CeMAS was founded in March 2021. The Center now employs approximately twenty staff, including researchers working in our four main areas – disinformation, right-wing extremism, antisemitism and conspiracy ideologies – as well as experts in strategic communication and software developers.

  • Lisa Johanne Jacobs is a researcher at CeMAS. She is a German studies scholar and researcher specializing in antisemitism. Since 2018, she has worked on various projects relating to antisemitism; she was a member of the team behind the study ‘Antisemitismus 2.0’ at the Technical University of Berlin and has worked as a research assistant at the University of Vienna and at the RIAS reporting center in Thuringia and Saxony, among others. At CeMAS, she researches the dynamics and current manifestations of antisemitism.

  • Corinne Heuer has a background in communication studies and political science and works at CeMAS as a Researcher focusing on the online dynamics of antisemitism and (digital) political communication.

  • Joe Düker is a researcher at CeMAS with a focus on right-wing extremism in German-speaking online communities. Using OSINT research and systematic online monitoring, he observes and analyzes right-wing extremist phenomena on the Internet.

  • Thilo Manemann is a researcher at CeMAS with a focus on far-right terrorist online communities. Using OSINT research and systematic online monitoring, he observes and analyses developments on the internet that pose a threat to democracy.
